Another Reason To Pray Over Your Home
This little gem has been making its rounds online landing on Social Galactic with the usual fanfare. The response was pretty predictable, and mostly acceptable. Cries of cleansing, Holy Water, and call the “Gunpriest” abounded as is appropriate.
Warms my heart when even jokes on a given subject point toward the truth. Even normal people will seek pastoral help of some kind when encountering this nonsense. Pity most priests, pastors, and so on are poorly equipped for handling spiritual warfare.
I’ve heard enough horror stories of priests sending government goons to take kids away from parents dealing with demonic activity that I suggest only contacting a pastoral figure you not only know personally, but know is base enough to handle the reality of the fallen world we find ourselves in. On that reality, let me add to the appropriate response to finding a sigil to Satan under your carpet, or in general since you never know what a new house might be hiding no matter how thorough you are.
Even if you’re building your own house the land itself might have a history of attraction for the other kind. Land, property, buildings, and so on that doesn’t have any of this madness hovering over its head can become a battleground if one is too careless or dabbles in places good Children of God shouldn’t be prancing in. We are protected, but best not be stupid about this whole affair.
So with any new or currently owned or rented residence you find yourself in, or even hotel rooms, sanctification of the property and prayer for those individuals you wish to protect on it must be done on a nightly or daily basis. Preferably both.
That may seem excessive, but the Devil and his minions/allies don’t care if you prayed over your house everyday except Tuesday. They’ll take advantage of whatever weakness they can find.
As Christ himself says you don’t just rob a strong man’s house. (Mark 3:27) First you have to tie him up. So don’t let evil catch you napping.
Moreover, Jesus also said that when a spirit is driven from his roust it wanders the world for a time before returning to its old hauntings with seven of its kind. (Mathew 12: 43-45) Here we come to the issue.
Just because you’ve driven evil out of your home, or never had it manifest, thanks to God's protection and your vigilance doesn’t mean the darkness won’t return. See this is the problem with many an exorcism.
If the person doesn’t repent or the property is not prayed over regularly when that Spirit is done roaming the demon comes back for round two, and the darkness will be seven times as strong. Jesus even said that the man will be worst off than before the unclean spirit was driven off.
God gives us protection, but our sin disconnects us from him. That leaves us vulnerable to the trepidations of this world. So pray daily and nightly gentlemen. If we were all honest we’d admit we should be communing with our creator anyway.
Thanks for reading gents! Just want to let everyone know that I’m working with Handdrawnbear to produce a kids book David And The Three Bears. The best way to protect your kids is to train them early in the power of God and their salvation in Christ. Plus, it's a beautiful little book that deserves to be read.
